17 on Bird is a quiet, well-kept guest house in Bird Street, a few minutes off the N1 in the centre of Beaufort West.

Rooms open onto a green garden with palms, a sparkling pool and a fountain courtyard that glows in the evening. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spotless and parking is safe.

Guests travel far to get here, so the team waits up for late check-ins. Ask about dinner: the Karoo lamb shank and lamb chops have their own fan club.
